Services

From prenatal counseling to back to work coaching, I’m with you every step of the way.

Initial Consult

90 min

During our time together, we will discuss the health history of you and your baby, talk about your feeding goals, and address any questions or concerns you may have. Your baby will be weighed at the beginning of the visit to help measure your baby’s growth. I will observe a feeding and assess positioning, latch, and suck, while assisting with adjustments as needed. Additional weights will be taken throughout the feeding to determine the amount of milk transfer. I will also perform an oral assessment of your baby’s mouth.

Depending on your needs and goals, bottle feeding and pumping instructions will be provided. A pumping session may be done during our session as well.

After the visit, you will receive an individualized care plan and your health care provider(s) will be sent a detailed report. Initial consultations include 2 weeks of follow-up through email, phone, or secure text messaging.

Prenatal Consult

45-60 min

If you are an expecting parent, this is a great opportunity to prepare for your breastfeeding journey before baby arrives. There are endless questions and concerns that can come up when anxiously awaiting your little one’s arrival. I am here to answer those questions and set your mind at ease during this visit.

This consultation is especially useful for parents who have specific health concerns, a surgical history involving your breast and/or chest, or who have experienced feeding issues with a previous child.

During our time together, we will discuss your health history and a perform a breast assessment. We will talk about your breastfeeding goals and address any potential challenges. I will let you know what to expect during the first few days of breastfeeding, covering topics such as skin to skin, positioning, and latch.

At the end of the visit, you will receive an individualized breastfeeding plan to set you up for success. If you need additional help after delivery, I am here for you. In that case, please schedule an Initial Consult because a lot will have changed since our last visit together!

Schedule

Back to Work Consult

90 min

If you are a parent that’s preparing to return (or already have returned) to work, this visit can make that transition easier. Ideally, we would schedule for 4 to 8 weeks before your return to work date.

During this visit, I will observe a pumping session to ensure you have the correct flange size and understand how to properly operate and clean the equipment.

Other topics we will discuss:

  • Frequency of pumping

  • How much milk baby needs for feedings

  • How much milk to store

  • Bottle-feeding tips and techniques

  • Tips to protect milk supply

This visit does not include a breastfeeding assessment. If you are having breastfeeding issues and would like me to assess a feeding, please schedule an Initial Consult (or a Follow-Up, if you are an established client).

Being a parent is not one-size-fits-all, but I believe every parent deserves quality lactation care.

Let’s make this work.

Do you have insurance?

I am contracted with The Lactation Network (TLN). With their help, I am able to bill as an in-network provider for most PPO/POS insurance plans. As a result, your visit(s) with me would be covered in full.

Out-of-network or uninsured?

Payment is due in full at the time of service. Don’t worry - I can still help! I will provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement is mandated for most insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act. However, I cannot guarantee full reimbursement and will not submit an appeal.
